As we embark on a New Year....

🚂🚋🚋🚋 [shared by Kyra]
Life is like a journey on a train...
with its stations...
with changes of routes...
and with accidents !

🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
We board this train when we are born and our parents are the ones who get our ticket.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
We believe they will always travel on this train with us.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
However, at some station our parents will get off the train, leaving us alone on this journey.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
As time goes by, other passengers will board the train, many of whom will be significant - our siblings, cousins, friends, children, and even the love of our life.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Many will get off during the journey and leave a permanent vacuum in our lives.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Many will go so unnoticed that we won't even know when they vacated their seats and got off the train !
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, good-byes, and farewells.
🚂🚋🚋🚋
A good journey is to help, love, and have a good relationship with all co passengers...
and where we give our best to make their journey comfortable.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
The mystery of this fabulous journey is :
We do not know at which station we ourselves are going to get off.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
So, we must live in the best way - adjust, forget, forgive and offer the best of what we have, with God's grace.
🚂🚋🚋🚋🚋
Thank you for being a passenger on God@work train...
"Wishing all a Blessed 2016 and God's guidance and protection always."

The 12Days of Christmas- True Meaning [shared by Honey]

On the 1st day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree...
Ever wonder why such weird lyrics that don't seem to make sense? Below is the explanation....

From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practise their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of their church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember.

•  The partridge in a pear tree was Jesus Christ

•  Two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments.

•  Three French hens stood for Faith, Hope and Love

•  The four calling birds were the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke & John

•  The five golden rings recalled the Torah or Law, the first five books of the Old   Testament

•  The six geese a-laying stood for the Six Days of Creation

•  Seven swans a-swimming represented the Sevenfold Gifts of the Holy Spirit--Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy

• The eight maids a-milking were the Eight Beatitudes

• Nine ladies dancing were the Nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit--Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self Control

• The ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments

• The eleven pipers piping stood for the Eleven Faithful Disciples

• The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the Twelve Points of Belief in the Apostles' Creed

So there is your history for today. This knowledge was shared with me and I found it interesting and enlightening and now I know how that strange song became a Christmas Carol...so pass it on if you wish.'
