Today In Ezra 5 we see part of the exciting journey where while under attack, "the eye of God was watching over" (verse 5) the Jewish elders even as a letter was written appealing to the King (tomorrow has the interesting response to the appeal letter).
Made me think about how I can better rest in God who watches over me even in times when things may not seem like they are working out the way I humanly expect.
Acts 5 spoke of the apostles healing many and being persecuted. What stood out for me was the story of Ananias and his wife who sold their property to give to the church - but not really.
As I review my finances at the start of the year I was challenged to think about how all comes from God and for me the need me to have a better idea of what % of God's provision I surrender to Him - time, $, attention.
