Thoughts on Bible Reading: Nehemiah2 & Acts12 [shared by Andrew]

For today's readings of Nehemiah 2 and Acts 12
i am encouraged by what Nehemiah did.  He was fearful but still spoke up. When asked a difficult question, Verse 4 records how Nehemiah did a quick pray before replying.

Thot: how can I better learn from Nehemiah's example when facing scary situations?

I also like how Nehemiah went incognito : undercover to discover the real situation and trusted God even
in the face of mocking from "enemies".

What struck me from Acts2 was Peter's miraculous rescue from prison even as it resulted in the execution of the guards.

Thot: sometimes we are to obey and trust in God's plans even as the way may be challenging.

Also challenging was how
Herod kenna killed because he did not acknowledge God's power.

Thot: how can I better surrender my pride so that only God's power is acknowledged?
